Cast and Crew Private Screening, June 26th, 2010
On June 26th, Rain Down held a private screening for Cast and Crew at the Pacific Cinematheque in Vancouver, BC., followed by a get together at The Edge in the Best Western Vancouver Chateau Granville Hotel. This was a Thank You event from Rain Down Pictures (Alyson Drysdale, Garwin Sanford and Johanne Gregory) to all those who worked so hard and gave so much of their talents and time to the production. Thank you all!
Post Production in Progress: May 29, 2010
Some of the most pleasurable days that Garwin, Johanne and I have spent recently have been with Robyn Traill, our composer. Watching him piece together the symphony that becomes our score is an inspiring part of the overall filmmaking process.
Johanne and I have also spent countless hours listening to an array of local indie musicians and have chosen five songs that will make it into our movie as source music in the Roadhouse Diner, at the Oasis Bar, and in Barbara's bungalow. We'll tell you more about this when the contracts are all signed!
As we barrel toward the finish line and a release date of June 23, 2010, we are pleased to be working with the exceptional talents of the sound design team at Rukkus House, the colour timing gurus at Digital Film Central, the on-line and titling cohort over at Finale Post, and the visual effects wizardry of Paul Furminger at Goldtooth Creative.
We've made our first official application to one of the major film festivals and will update as we progress.
In other post-production news, Oliver's wife Meike, gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on May 7th, weighing in at 7 pounds. Contratulations to them both. I met the little guy just yesterday: Julius Emile Alexandar Glaser. Yeah, he's got a big voice.
