Actor: Jessica Hill

Character: Carla Springer

Jessica's assumption of the  role of 'Carla' in 'Rain Down' is a perfect example of the truism that "life is what happens when you've made other plans". Originally slated to audition for the supporting role of 'Barbara', Jessica was, at the last minute, asked to read Carla's lines at the very first cold read of the script.  It was immediately clear that this was a great opportunity.  Not only was she physically up to the demanding physical requirements of the role (she loves horses!), but she could also bring to the table a deep understanding of her character's struggle. All the while being supported and mentored by a phenomenal cast and crew! Enough said...

Jess is a graduate of Studio 58 and the Langara College Film Arts program. While this is her first lead in a feature film, she has many years of theatre under her belt and is presently producing and hosting a cooking/travel show on local cable television.

Actor: Timothy Mossey

Character: Darren Crosby

This is Timothy's first lead role in a feature film.  Always wanting to be in a western, he was very excited to shoot on ranches in Cache Creek and Ashcroft, in the B.C. Interior.  Giving up on that dream after being thrown by two horses while filming; Rain Down will probably be the closest he gets to doing a western. This was a good experience for Tim and he had a great time on and off the set. He enjoys all mediums of performing and last played the part of 'Owen' in Norm Foster's Canadian play 'The Melville Boys' at the Metro Theatre. Timothy looks forward to accompanying 'Rain Down' on its journey through the festival circuit and anticipates good things.
